The compound lever design of this tool gives an excellent cutting performance with low handle load through good mechanical advantage. This allows you to cut piano wire with handle loads significantly less than conventional forged pliers of equivalent size. The nipper is capable of cutting 1.4mm Diameter BS specification hard wire.

Anti-rust finish with bright nickel plated handles and fully treated chemically blacked jaws. In the case of the pliers, jaws open and close parallel along their entire length, giving a square vice-like grip. This is especially useful when the pressure exerted should be applied with exactly opposite force without slippage.
